Answer what you know. Private, unknown and unanswered areas stay unscored. Three scored answers are needed for a snapshot.

What happens after a self-check?

Evidence. Review. Trust.

The verified rating service is in a supervised pilot. Public verified ratings and certificates are not being issued through this tool.

01

Prepare the evidence

Match records to the legal entity, business activity and reporting period. Company claims alone do not verify performance.

02

Independent review

A reviewer must check source relevance, critical failures, conflicts and contradictory evidence. Missing evidence stays unknown.

03

Calibrate before launch

Real-business pilot results, reviewer agreement and approval controls must be validated before verified stars or certificates are released.

Buying a report, event package or sponsorship cannot change a score or secure a rating. Future approved rating certificates are intended to be free; paid detailed research is a separate service.
How the self-check works

Five scored areas have equal weight. A snapshot is the average of the answered scored areas, shown only after at least three are answered. Stage and growth goals provide context. Pre-launch sales and delivery are excluded from applicable coverage; a pre-launch snapshot measures readiness rather than trading performance. This draft model has not been empirically calibrated across sectors.

The evidence-review pilot uses identity 15%, customer terms 20%, support 15%, operations 20% and sector outcomes 30%. No failed criterion, identity uncertainty, missing criterion or unresolved contradiction can be compensated by good scores elsewhere. No real-case result is approved automatically.

This is not a credit rating, regulatory approval, legal due-diligence opinion or guarantee of business performance, funding or investment returns.

Ask about evidence review

Ready for a closer look?

Ask the team about the supervised pilot, evidence requirements or an optional detailed business report. Sending an enquiry does not start or approve a rating.

The business rating initiative is supported by WCC Management UK Limited. General correspondence is handled by the Observer Dawn team.
